Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author also a model, actor and author. She is renowned for her movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). She was drawn to becoming an artist was influenced from her childhood as a member of a New York family of artists. She began working as a photographer's assistant, and then turned to modeling and acting. MacGraw was noticed in two of her films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. MacGraw's feature film Love Story was an international hit, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. After just three short films she was deemed as the top female performer film in the history of box offices. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature, hand-prints and foot prints in 1972. In addition, she was a part of The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw has been married three times.
