Zoe-perry
Perry was born to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the character. However, her parents were not keen to let her take on acting roles until she was an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry confessed that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school. However, she began doing it to make friends at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry began her career as an actress in New York after graduation, performing in minor role in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But homesickness made Perry come back to California and pursue a career as a theater actress. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 She appeared in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was presented in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. She had a regular role in the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her dad. She played the role of a younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode from CBS's The Big Bang Theory was another portrayal by her younger mother. The character was assigned by audition regardless of the fact that she was a cousin with the character.
